The new year hasn’t quite gotten off to the start that we perhaps all had hoped for, but we hope that everyone is keeping safe and well during this time.
Aside from lockdown life, we wanted to give you an update now that Brexit has landed and we’re slowly getting to grips with it all.
So, let’s answer some of the questions you might have…
Do you have flowers and plants available?
Yes. We have deliveries coming in on a weekly basis. While the logistics have altered slightly, we are still able to offer you a fantastic variety of fresh flowers, and indoor and outdoor plants.
Are your delivery days the same?
Our delivery days are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Do I need to allow extra time when placing an order?
Please allow as much time as possible when giving thought to your order as it can best be fulfilled if you allow for plenty of time.
Unfortunately, can no longer purchase products on the same day that they are due to leave Holland. We now need to work 1-day ahead which means that all orders need to be planned in advance in order to secure your desired products.
We need to make allowances for the additional processes required when it comes to sourcing, purchasing and importing; so, working together in advance will provide you with the best results.
Can I expect flowers and plants from the usual countries of origin?
Flowers and plants grown in Holland are coming into the UK without issue. The only changes are that they are now imported separately due to the newly implemented paperwork.
Ecuadorian and Columbian flowers are now being imported directly into the UK, and so these varieties are readily available.
Flowers and plants grown outside of Holland are available for import, however duty is now being applied – something to keep in mind when considering your flower order.
Can I still order specific flowers?
In order to avoid disappointment, we recommend being as flexible as possible when it comes to your flower order.
While we will work with you to do everything that we can to obtain your requests, being tied to specific flower varieties could in turn bring challenges.
For those working in weddings and celebrations, where specific floral requests are often made, we recommend working with your clients on a colour basis In order to achieve the best results for all parties.
Will there be any further changes?
Further changes to flower transport and certification are expected from April 1st 2021. We will update you on all changes as/when we know of them.
If you have any further questions or queries, please do not hesitate to give us a call and we will happily advise - 01923 264463.
